Addie & Odus Mundy

Odus Mundy was born and raised on his family’s dairy farm in Speedwell, TN. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 3 years with a degree in Business Administration while continuing to work on the farm. Odus credits his strong work ethic with the life lessons learned on the farm.
Addie Mundy was born and raised in LaFollette, TN where she and Odus reside today. She and Odus married in June of 1983 and the following year; Addie graduated with honors from the University of TN with a BS in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she worked for Rice Oil Company from 1984-86, became a CPA in 1987 and went on to work as a Public Accountant with WLC accounting firm from 1987-1991.

After buying his family’s farm in 1980 with his brother, Odus continued to operate it until 1987. At that time, Odus and Addie opened a Big O’s convenience store complete with gas, grocery, and deli where they were owners, operators, cooks, dishwashers and whatever else was needed. Odus refers to this time as his introduction to foodservice and says he learned a great deal. Odus and Addie continue to own and operate 4 Big O’s Git & Go’s, 3 with food operations.

In 1994 Odus and Addie became Fazoli’s franchisees and opened their first location in Cleveland, TN. They continue to own and operate 4 successful Fazoli’s in TN and GA. In 2011 Odus was bestowed the honor of being named Fazoli’s Franchisee of the Year. He has also served on the Fazoli’s Franchise Association Board for the past nine years and considers it a great opportunity and honor.

During Odus and Addie’s tenure as Fazoli’s franchisees they have also been involved in other business ventures. In 2007 they purchased and still own and operate Rice Oil Company, a distributor of BP, Amoco, Sunoco, and unbranded fuel products which mainly operate in East TN and KY. In 2009, they became Sonic franchisees until they sold the restaurant in 2019 and in 2022, they opened their first Huey Magoo’s restaurant as franchisees.

Aside from Odus’s and Addie’s business ventures Odus is a servant leader and credits God’s guidance in all he does. Although his father was and his two brothers are currently bi-vocational pastors, Odus believes business was his calling, so he works hard to give back to his church and community. He served as a board member of Christian Academy of Campbell County, currently serves as a Trustee at his home church, Hope & Stand, and he is a Small Group Leader of a group of business owners and his local study “Doing Business God’s Way”. Addie and Odus are true partners in life and very devout in their faith. When Addie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast cancer in 2020, it was her faith, prayer and support of her friends and family that helped her become a cancer survivor.

Odus and Addie are thankful for their son, Rudy and daughter Katie who work with them along with all their great managers, associates and office personnel and credit them with their success.

When Odus is not working, he enjoys hunting, boating with Addie on Norris Lake and they both enjoy cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, but what they enjoy most is spending time with their family, especially their four beloved grandchildren, Ella, Shiloh, Emmy and Kesed.
