Fazoli’s Launches New Restaurant Concept in Dayton This Week

All Local Fazoli’s get Extreme Makeovers as Part of Major Miami Valley Reinvestment

Dayton, Ohio. – Fazoli’s, a long-time Miami Valley family favorite, is spicing up the local dining scene with the opening tomorrow of an all-new restaurant – it’s first complete redesign in more than 15 years.  Located at 2419 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. across from the Dayton Mall, the made-over Fazoli’s will feature a dramatically different design and will be the first in the nation with a new service style.  According to Fazoli’s President and CEO Carl Howard, a Kettering native, Dayton was selected to debut the new design and service concept because it is one of the chain’s top performing markets.

“This makeover represents Fazoli’s future,” Howard said.  “The Miami Valley has been very good to us for many years, and we are very excited about bringing our guests a new and much improved Fazoli’s.” The new restaurant will open Tuesday, March 9.  A ribbon cutting ceremony and “Turning the Tables” fundraiser will be held Monday, March 8.  Invited guests will be served by local celebrities who will collect tips for community groups.  Fazoli’s will make a donation to each organization.

Reinvesting in the Miami Valley
While many restaurant chains are closing in the Miami Valley, Fazoli’s remains committed to the area and is making a significant contribution to the local economy.  In addition to building the new restaurant, Fazoli’s has just completed remodeling its other four locations, using the fun, contemporary design created for the Dayton Mall unit.  Howard said Fazoli’s is investing more than $750,000 in the new restaurant and remodeling projects.  The Dayton Mall Fazoli’s is creating 50 new jobs.  All together, Fazoli’s employs more than 160 people at its Dayton locations.

Guests at Fazoli’s other Miami Valley locations already are experiencing several service enhancements which were just introduced.  Traditional plates, glassware and silverware have replaced plastic and paper.  Servers deliver meals to guests, replacing the former self-serve style, and a dining room staff member makes sure everyone gets enough of Fazoli’s famous hot breadsticks.  These are the first

Fazoli’s Extreme Makeover -22222
Fazoli’s makeover actually began last year with a complete overhaul and upgrade of its food.  According to Howard, 80 percent of Fazoli’s menu is either new or significantly improved.  “Fazoli’s is now serving food every bit as good, if not better, than casual dining restaurants, but at less than half the price,” he said.  “We have created new items and improved the flavor of long-time favorites, and our entrees and sandwiches are now cooked fresh when ordered.”

Brand Director Stacy Hettich, who is overseeing the Dayton market makeover, said the vibrant new restaurant design, combined with higher quality food and service enhancements, helps Fazoli’s better serve today’s families.  “In these difficult times, being able to afford and enjoy a good meal together is very important,” she said.  “Our guests tell us they really appreciate the value and overall experience Fazoli’s provides.”

With prices starting at just $4.99 and an award-winning Kid’s Night, Fazoli’s is a favorite – and a great value – for families.  Parents magazine recently named Fazoli’s to its top 10 list of best fast casual restaurants for families.  Click here for more on Fazoli’s menu and to sign up for valuable offers from Fazoli’s e-club.
